Generations of
Hawai’i Flower
Farming
Aloha! I’m Lyla Mah, a third-generation Hawaiian flower farmer and fifth-generation lei maker. I have been growing, lovingly arranging, and selling flowers for my entire life as part of my family’s farm on the Big Island of Hawai’i.
Those of us who are lucky enough to call Hawai’i home know about the abundance of florals that our island can produce. Yet, many flowers are still imported to Hawai’i from the mainland. So in 2016, I started my own business, arranging and designing with the flowers my family grows for weddings, holidays and everyday arrangements.
My specialty is combining locally grown flowers and greenery with modern floral trends to create beautiful and sustainable arrangements.
I create all of my floral designs myself out of my family’s farm in Waimea, HI. My flowers and greenery are sourced, as much as possible from my own farm, but what I can’t grow I buy locally from other Hawaii flower farmers.
"Lyla's work is INCREDIBLE!"
